Edscha TS at the "IAA Transportation 2022

New ideas for new thinking

From September 20 to 25, 2022 will meet at the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover. The claim of the newly set up trade fair is to represent the transportation and logistics industry in its entire range for the first time. In terms of content, the "IAA Transportation 2022" reflects current topics for the future of the commercial vehicle industry and logistics. The important role that innovative, future-oriented tarpaulin technology can play in this context is demonstrated by the trade fair presentation of Edscha TS in Hall 27, Stands B03 and C11, as well as with "Muldy", a mini dump truck with "TipperRoof" attachment, in the outdoor area of the hall.

Safe and sustainable

The most important future topic for the tarpaulin specialist and inventor of the sliding tarpaulin is the long-term sustainability of Edscha TS - solutions for safe transport in road and rail traffic. This also includes "cover solutions" in the industrial, agricultural and other sectors. The aim here is to realize positive developments for the climate, safety, people and society. Constant dialog with customers, permanent analysis of the value chain and new technological ideas are the basis for the high demands placed on our own actions.

Edscha TS thinks about the future

Edscha TS is using four impressive examples to show how sustainability can be implemented in the field of tarpaulin technology. can be implemented in the field of tarpaulin technology. New 100% recyclable roofing tarpaulins made from roof tarpaulins made of PP will reduce the burden on the environment while maintaining the same service life. The new can be adapted to all CS canopies and can also be installed cost-effectively by the customer. installed. On request, the tarpaulins can be supplied with the canopy kit.

Another example is new roof bracing with universal lengths for more safety for individual applications and repairs. The roof bracing consists of fabric tape with an open end and can be easily adjusted. Function and force transmission are the same as with the version with steel cables.

Further developed professional assemblies and roof tarpaulin fastenings will noticeably reduce tarpaulin wear in the future. The sealing of the tarpaulins will also be considerably improved in this way. Last but not least, it will soon also be possible to separate roll car bow joints for repair and recycling, provided that the bow joint has been bolted down.

SB-Profi: For vehicles without bodywork

One of the highlights of the Edscha TS presentation at the IAA Transportation 2022 in Hanover will be the newly developed SB-Profi tarpaulin system. This sliding bar roof for vehicles without a body (but with a tarpaulin cover) allows one person to uncover the entire loading area from the ground in a matter of seconds. It allows quick loading and unloading from all sides and from above. The patented sliding bar canopy has tarpaulin-lifting cross-connections and durable casters that run on a sturdy flat iron rail, allowing the canopy to slide on both sides. In addition, these rails are designed in segments for easy maintenance and, compared to the previous version, offer the advantage that heavy-duty tensioning straps can easily be passed under the frame behind the rail for securing heavy, bulky cargo. Any winches fitted there can still be used without any functional restrictions. The required installation space is only 35 mm, which allows the system to be attached to standard 2.48 m wide frames.

QuickCurtain: New side curtain system

From practice - for practice! New in this segment: QuickCurtain. The QuickCurtain side curtain system is easy and very quick to operate and is equipped with a solid steel roller rail on the chassis. QuickCurtain runs on rollers not only at the top but also at the bottom of the chassis. And even the stanchions run on rollers. Dead center tensioners and separately operated stanchions are a thing of the past with this side curtain system. Incorporated vertical Kevlar tension belts between curtain rollers and lower roller anchors eliminate the need for side tuck-in profiles. This system is designed for all standard applications and also with form-fit loading according to EN12642 "XL" with proof by dynamic testing.

A head start through digital ideas

In addition to a future-oriented technology for its tarpaulin systems, digitalization is also being driven forward in all areas of the company. Customer communication with very different ideas is at the forefront of this. One example is the spare parts finder. A database designed for the fast, reliable search for spare parts for Edscha TS tarpaulin systems. The Spare Parts Finder is available 24/7 and offers new possibilities for a targeted, up-to-date search.
