Wanted: Apprenticeships that are really enjoyable

Found: Versatile jobs with career opportunities

Such an ultra-modern truck is an impressive construction. A powerful engine hums quietly under the bonnet. Lights flash in the vehicle's cockpit, and the route and other data can be called up on a monitor just like in an aeroplane. Transport goods are stored safely and securely under the large hood at the rear of the vehicle. Special technologies ensure that the top can be opened on all sides and thus quickly loaded or unloaded.

The Edscha sliding roof: exciting technology.

Among logistics companies or haulage firms, such a design is simply called an "Edscha Sliding Roof" not least because it was quite simply invented by Edscha in Remscheid and became synonymous with soft tops. Today, Edscha TS is a successful part of a Swedish group and market leader in the field of innovative sliding roof technologies. Incidentally, these are not limited to sliding roofs for trucks, but are increasingly used as "tarpaulin roofing" in many other important sectors of the economy. Reason enough to find out what successful companies with a future are looking for most urgently: Committed young talents! So if you have always wanted to look behind the scenes of a "very special company", you can currently apply for an apprenticeship at Edscha TS.

Start clear for the 2023 apprenticeships

Anyone who would like to "immerse" themselves in the field of modern concealed technology can do so now. As of now, Edscha TS is offering apprenticeships in two exciting areas for the start of the 2023 apprenticeship year at its site in Moers in the Lower Rhine region. On the one hand for the profession of technical product designer and for the apprenticeship as industrial clerk.

The technical product designer: with a broad digital foundation

The technical product designer is the person in the company's team who deals comprehensively with the technologies and further development of their company's products. The training is correspondingly diverse and at a very high level. This includes enjoying the professional use of the PC as well as complex programmes from the CAD area.  But above all, dealing with technology is an exciting task. During the apprenticeship, you get to know the company from A to Z. You learn, for example, how canopies are made. For example, you learn how convertible tops are constructed and what special features have to be taken into account. Drawings and 3D data models for the components are created on the computer. The relevant standards and economic aspects are also important. Not to forget assembly plans and parts lists for production. At Edscha TS, you work very closely with developers or colleagues from the different areas.

The industrial clerk: organisational talent with a kick

The profession of industrial clerk can be found in almost all industries, not only in logistics or automotive engineering. You can work in areas such as marketing and sales, procurement and stockpiling, service accounting and personnel, as well as in liaison with other specialist departments. As a rule, industrial clerks later specialise in the products or services of the respective companies in which they are employed. Without this special knowledge, advising customers or handling special product processes would not be possible.
